[Empowering Teachers’ Digital Teaching and Learning WEBINAR SERIES] – Building Educator Capacity Through Micro-credentials

Teachers require rigorous professional learning that ensures mastery rather than simply marking time served. Micro credentials offer a competency-based approach to professional learning that can be tailored to individuals’ context, needs, and interests. How leaders can implement and sustain a robust micro credentialing program to reach a high-quality micro credentialing process and to structure and support micro credentialing at scale?

On Tuesday December 6th, IIOE invites Professor Eric M. Carbaugh at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia to deliver a webinar speech about Building Educator Capacity Through Micro-credentials. This webinar will be co-hosted by IIOE and ISTE (International Society for Technology and Education). This session is intended for educators seeking a flexible and competency-based approach to building educator capacity within their institutions. By the end of the session, participants will:

[Empowering Teachers’ Digital Teaching and Learning WEBINAR SERIES] – HyFlex for Learning: Advancing Meaningful Change in Education

On November 8th, IIOE invites Prof. Brian Beatty from San Francisco State University (SFSU) to give an indepth view of Hyper Flexible (HyFlex) Learning, a model of design that enables Higher Education Institutions and instructors to offer a resilient learning environment, and offering students equitable access and autonomy to choose how they would like to learn.

HyFlex combines the terms “hybrid” and “flexible.” Hybrid learning refers to learning that integrates complementary face-to-face (synchronous) and online learning (asynchronous) experiences in service of intended learning objectives. All students in a hybrid course are expected to undergo the same combination of online and in-person activities. In contrast, the “flexible” aspect of HyFlex is that students are given choice in how they participate in the course and engage with material in the mode that works best for them over the course and from session to session.  How might HyFlex Learning facilitate the experience change in your course? What should you do to initiate the adoption of HyFlex Learning? Join our HyFlex for Learning: Advancing Meaningful Change in Education webinar to find out!

**Note: Due to time differences, this webinar cannot accommodate audiences from all working time zones across the world. This webinar will be recorded and a playback link will be shared with registered audiences.
