    OUTCOMES OF COURSE:

    In this course, students will be introduced to the basics of graphic design which will enable them to design their own posters, flyers, postcards, and much more. Students will be able to design all these things using Canva online graphic design tool. This course will boost interest in graphic designing and it will help kids to make their own flyers and posters required for their academic activities. 

    Module 1: INTRODUCTION TO GRAPHIC DESIGN

    Module 2: COLOUR and PHOTOGRAPHY (color AR App)

    • A knowledge of different types of colour perception.
    • An understanding of the colour vocabulary needed to communicate as a designer.
    • An introduction to the colour theories needed to work with colour.
    • Ability to manipulate colour using basic colour tools.
    • An understanding of the basic tools for photography.
    • An understanding of vocabulary, resolution and file formats.
    • The ability to create impactful photographic compositions.
    • The ability to crop and manipulate photographs to enhance meaning.
    • An introduction to layout and advert design.

    Module 3: COMPLETE GUIDELINE TO DESIGN USING CANVA (AR image App)

    • How to create account on Canva
    • The ability to start Designing on Canva
    • The ability to edit your design in Canva
    • Introduction of available template on Canva
    • Edit and share your design on social media

    Module 4: PREPARING YOUR PORTFOLIO (Poster, Banners, Cards)

    • An introduction to career opportunities in graphic design.
    • The ability to create and design a personal identity system.
    • The ability to develop a healthy professional practice.
    • The ability to create a design system and impactful portfolio.
    • Home Assignment: Design your school poster.
