UET Lahore Starts Free Microsoft Certifications
The awareness session for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) program was held in UET’s Transportation Hall on 25th October which was attended by both faculties and the students. This project was initiated 5 years back by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in a joint collaboration with Microsoft Corporation to provide free of cost certifications to students. Senator Rukhsana Zuberi was the chief guest at the occasion, who is also the chairperson of Tec Education Foundation. In her address, she talked about the importance of this project and its certification.
Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid, Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, talked about the importance of the program and also congratulated the students for UET’s increased ranking in Asia region.
Dr. Waqar Mahmood, Director KICS UET, described about the software licensing and emphasized on the international certifications.
Abbas Malik, Program Manager MOS, explained the guidelines of this program to the students. Large number of students from UET and other institutes participated in the event and showed their interest for the program.
