UET Honors Dr. Sarmad Hussain, the Recipient of the Pride of Performance Award
LAHORE (9th April 2018) – Vice Chancellor UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid arranged a ceremony to honor Dr. Sarmad Hussain (from KICS UET Lahore) who was conferred with the Pride of Performance by the government of Pakistan on 23rd March 2018 on the occasion of Pakistan Resolution Day Celebrations. Dr. Sarmad was bestowed with the most prestigious award of the country for his distinguished contributions in the area of local language computing.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Fazal and Director KICS Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood appreciated and applauded Dr. Sarmad’s efforts for making UET’s name protuberant and glorious. In his address, Dr. Sarmad explained his entire journey in language computing up to the receiving of country’s biggest award. The attendees of the event very attentively heard and admired his success story. Dr. Sarmad heads Centre for Language Engineering (CLE) at KICS UET Lahore.
At the ceremony held at Vice Chancellor’s Office, he was presented with an award for his honor and in recognition of his exceptional efforts in the field of local language computing by Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid in presence of the faculty members, Deans and the staff.
