Tree Plantation Ceremony Held at UET Lahore
Tree plantation ceremony was held at University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore on 7th August 2018 where Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Director KICS UET Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood, Divisional Forest Officer Punjab Forest Department Muhammad Salim Malik, faculty members and students participated. Vice Chancellor inaugurated the plantation campaign by planting a tree. Director KICS UET, DFO Punjab Forest Department and other officials of UET also planted the trees.
Talking to media, Prof. Fazal said that global warming was taking a dangerous shape. He mentioned that trees were helpful in stopping the heat waves. He further said that we could save ourselves by planting more and more trees in our surroundings.
