MOU Signed Between KICS UET and Delta Tech for Mutual Projects on Cyber Security
An MOU signing ceremony between Delta Tech and KICS took place at the Director’s Office in Al-Khawarazmi Institute of Computer Science UET, Lahore on 18th February 2019. Both the high officials from both sides – CEO Delta Tech Nihal Mehmood and Director KICS Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood signed the agreement in presence of other officials. Dr. Ghalib Asad Ullah Shah (Professor and Sultan Qaboos IT C-Chair) also attended the ceremony. The contract was inked for mutual projects in cyber security.
Both organizations appreciated that in the wake of recent cyber-attacks on Pakistan’s organizations and propelled by the recent NCCS initiative, the time is ripe for establishing a strong partnership resulting in mutually beneficial projects and synergies.
As per the agreement, both organizations agreed that collaboration will be fruitful resulting in:
- Improvement in Pakistan’s cyber security posture.
- Enrichment of the cyber security education, programs, and training being offered at UET-KICS.
- Creation of new value such as innovative products, research, training, forums, and other
- programs which would not have been possible without the collaboration
- Development and advancement of Pakistan’s cyber security eco-system
- Extending the successes of the collaboration to a national, regional, and international context thus ensuring that the outcomes are world-class and internationally competitive.
