LCCI Delegation Visits KICS UET Lahore to Establish Industry-Academia Linkage

A delegation from Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited HCR (Human-Centric Lab) of KICS UET Lahore. The delegation consisted of Mian Shafqat Ali (Ex. Chairman LCCI, Ex. Chairman PIAF), Raees Sheikh (Prime steel corporation, Prime Steel Mills), Ms. Shamim Akhtar (CEO Care marketing Ltd), Ms. Nasira Taskeen (CEO Vision Consulting Ltd), Shehryar Ali and others. The purpose of this visit was to establish industry and academia linkage. Another agenda was the introduction of HCR’s future product to the industry personnel for possible future collaboration.

The delegation also met with the Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore Dr. Aziz Akbar where the delegation discussed about the engineering scope in the industry, engineers capacity building for the industrial jobs and minimizing the gap between the industry and academia collaboration.

Muhammad Dawer Saeed (BDM) delivered an introductory presentation at HCR Lab. Research projects being done there such as Collaborative robots, Exo-Skeletons, Active Prostheses, were briefed to the delegation. Later, they met with Dr. Waqar Mahmood (Director KICS), Dr. Ali Raza (Chairman & PI), Dr. Mohsin Rizwan (Co-PI) and Dr. Ahsan Naeem (Co-PI).
