KICS UET Lahore Sign MOUs with PSDF to Conduct Professional Training Courses

KICS UET Lahore in collaboration with PSDF (Punjab Skills Development Fund) has been conducting professional training courses successfully for last many years. Large numbers of students so far have been graduated and doing jobs in public and private sector. The skills, they learn from these technical courses, lead them to find well-paid jobs in the market since these professional courses are taught considering the market demand in mind.

Al-Khawarzmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS) runs the courses under the programs called – Skills for Jobs and Skills for Services under the auspices of Punjab Skills Development Fund.

Recently KICS UET signed two MOUs with PSDF and PSDP (Punjab Skills Development Program) on 11th and 17th September 2018 both are run under the umbrella of Punjab Skills Development Fund. The likes of web development, graphic designing, solar, Huawei networking, telecom and android programs are conducted. With Skill for Services, KICS UET is already under the agreement for these training courses. 400 students are scheduled to get trained under the latest MOUs with PSDF and PSDP.

These courses or professional training skilled programs will be conducted at Al-Khawarzmi Institute of Computer Science, UET Lahore and Professional Development Center (PDC) at P6 Model Town, Lahore.

The signing ceremonies were held at Prince Hall near Qaddafi Stadium and Grand Palm Hotel, Ferozepur Road, Lahore. Dr. Waqar Mahmood (Director KICS UET), Kashif Bashir (Manager Training at KICS) signed the contracts from UET’s side whereas Zohaib Haq (Manager Program Development) inked the MOUs from PSDF side.

All courses are scheduled to begin from 1st October 2018 at both locations – KICS and P-6. Under Skill for Services, the courses such as Web Designing, Android, Graphic, Network and Telecom are set to be conducted where 125 students are to be trained. All of these courses’ duration is of 6 months.

The courses in collaboration with PSDF carry 3 months and 6 months’ duration. The courses which are on offer include Applied Instrumentation and Control Automation, Mobile Application, Networking Technologies Huawei, Solar PV and Web Design and Development. 125 students will be trained in these courses.

The courses being offered in collaboration with PSDP are Graphic Designing, Solar PV, Huawei Networking Technologies and Android. 150 students would be trained with these courses.
