KICS Awarded with Standard Security Framework Project

KICS UET was recently conferred with a project on security funded by HEC, Pakistan. The project, which was awarded to IRIL Lab of KICS, is for developing a standard security framework for IoT considering the requirements and specifications provided by global standardization bodies and alliances for IoT and machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. The objective is to secure end-to-end communication and to provide interoperability among heterogeneous type of constrained and non-constrained IoT devices. This will involve the development of novel security algorithms, adaptation of existing security mechanisms for constrained devices, and the implementation of these algorithms/mechanisms in the software (OS) and hardware platforms for IoT.
