Governor Punjab Inaugurates Industrial Open House & Career Fair’18 at UET Lahore.

An Industrial Open House and Career Fair 2018 was organized by University of Engineering and Technology Lahore on 4th April at University’s auditorium. Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana was the chief guest who inaugurated the event. In his address, Rajwana said, “Government is taking measures to decrease the unemployment. In this line many projects are functioning to empower the youth with skills, decisions and jobs. Government is making efforts to bring the industry on the track to progress and prosperity effectively in present scenario”. The Governor further said, “Government is encouraging the entrepreneurship to channelize the determinations for the development of people”. 

Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Engr. Javed Saleem Qureshi said that PEC was taking measures to empower the engineering and engineers at large. He mentioned that the entrepreneurship policy had been announced to facilitate the engineers in this regard. 

Many notable guest speakers such as Nayyar Ali Dada (renowned architecture of Pakistan), Mr. Levin (Director of Huawei), Engineer Mujahid Chatha (CEO LESCO), Deans, UET Chairman and a large number of students were present at the occasion.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “Industry-Academia linkage can strengthen the country and boost economy. He then also said that doing so the real objective of research and development will be fully accomplished”.

He further said that UET was producing quality of skilled persons thus industry should come forward to hunt the talent for the growth. He emphasized the industry to collaborate with university for betterment of economy. By the end of the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid presented crest to Governor Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, Nayyar Ali Dada and Javed Saleem Qureshi and other guest of honors.
