Fasten the Belts to Win $30,000 in Huawei ICT Skill Competition 2019 and Free Trip to China – Seminar Held at UET Lahore

Lahore, 14th October, 2019 – A seminar on awareness about the most prestigious Huawei ICT Skill Competition 2019 was held at the main auditorium of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore on 14th October. For last few years, this competition has been a giant success and keeps gaining mammoth attention from the students in Pakistan and from the world. The massive prize money award to the winner of the competition and other most attractive gifts such as free exam vouchers, mobiles and free tickets to China to attend the last round of the competition at Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen grab the eyeballs of all and sundry. Pakistani students so far have done brilliance in this competition and every year they showcase their talents by grabbing the top positions in national and the final round in China. Among them, Uetians have showed their class and talents by taking top positions in ICT competition.

Post the recitation of Holy Quran, Director KICS UET Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood delivered a welcome note and introduction to this competition of Huawei and PDC (Professional Development Center) – a UET’s branch in Model Town Lahore where the professional trainings and certifications are delivered and many of them are Huawei certified programs. Dr. Waqar revealed about the trainings in detail and unzipped the news that UET’s HUTIC was named the world’s best academy by Huawei Technology. He also told that Huawei was looking after launching similar academies (like HUTIC) is other parts of Pakistan. Dr. Waqar also told to the audience that HUTIC instructor Fahmeed Akram was declared the world’s best instructor by Huawei.

Mr. Liwen (Managing Director, Huawei Technologies, Pakistan) in his speech welcomed all the attendees and faculties. He revealed Huawei’s significant contributions to Pakistan market. He also told that the company so far has generated hundreds and thousands of jobs in Pakistan apart from opening many academies in the country. He then narrated the ICT Skill Competition details to the students who were much eager to learn about the same.

Muhammad Zubair, Assistant Manager Research HUTIC, delivered ICT competition preparation guidelines and last year i.e. 2018 competition highlights. The things like how to register and compete for the competition were revealed by him in easy manner.

Ms. Fatima Samiullah from Huawei, who is a Training Manager for Pakistan, talked about this competition and the prizes it had to offer to the participants and the winners. She also let the attendees watch the success videos of Huawei ICT Skill Competition to raise the enthusiasm of the students.

Souvenirs were distributed among the guests of the event followed by the gifts distribution to the students. The winner of this competition will be awarded with a cash prize of $30,000 and the top national winners will be taken to China free to compete for the final round. Free exam vouchers and other gifts like mobiles will be given to the participants as well.
