Emerging Security Challenges of IoT Devices Workshop Conducted in UET Lahore
Lahore, 21st October 2019 – National Center for Cyber Security (NCCS) & IoT Research and Innovation Lab (IRIL) organized the workshop ‘Emerging Security Challenges of IoT Devices’ in collaboration with HUTIC Team in UET Smart Classroom situated in the main auditorium of University of Engineering and Technology Lahore on 18th October. Students and faculty members from UET-Lahore, PIEAS, FAST-NUCES, KICS, PDC and industry professionals participated in this workshop.
The smart classroom provided the trainees an opportunity to learn in an interactive way and perform hands on practice for firmware, communication and web exploitation. Usman Gulzar, Team Lead of Cyber Security Lab presented this workshop in which he covered the following topics.

- IoT Security Challenges
- IoT attack surface mapping
- IoT penetration testing
- Hardware exploitation
- Firmware, MQTT, and web exploitations.
