Dr. Sarmad Hussain from KICS UET Awarded with Pride of Performance by Govt. of Pakistan
LAHORE (27th March 2018) – Professor Dr. Sarmad Hussain from Al-Khawarazmi Institute of Computer Science UET Lahore was conferred with President’s Award for Pride of Performance for excellence in the field of science (computer) on 23rd March 2018. Dr. Sarmad was awarded for his distinguished contributions in the area of local language computing. The ceremony was held at the residence of Governor of the Punjab where the governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana bestowed the recipients with the awards. Another ceremony was held at President House in Islamabad where the President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain presented the awards to the people from all walks of life for their services to the country.
A total of 58 military and 73 civil awards were conferred to the people for the excellence in their respective fields for the country.
The ceremonies were attended by the ministers, parliamentarians, diplomats, services chiefs, military officials, high civil officials and people from all walks of life.
