CERAD Delegate Signs MOU with SERI and Shamsi Baba in Malaysia
A delegation from CERAD (Centre for Energy Research and Development), UET Lahore comprising of Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood (Director CERAD) and Imran Ali Shah (Manager CERAD) visited Universiti Kebangsan, Malaysia. Apart from visiting the university and its solar institute, the delegation also signed an MOU there. The agreement was signed among three parties – Solar Research Institute of Kebangsan University, CERAD UET Lahore and Shamsi Baba Electricity & Food Systems USA. It was signed last year in November 2018.
The main purpose of the MOU is to promote collaboration for R&D activities in relevant domains and particularly renewable energy projects. It was also decided that innovative ideas, development and exchange of information for better solutions shall be executed on mutual agreed terms. As per the agreement, it was also mutually agreed that the optimal solutions to bridge the gap in local market and industry will be targeted in terms of quality, cost and local production to build Pakistani and Malaysian Native Solar Industries.
