A Technical Talk Held in KICS on Academics to Industry Architecture

KICS UET Lahore organized a talk on ‘Automation: Academics to Industry Architecture’ on 23^rd November 2018 at Seminar Hall where students, officials and researchers were seen in good majority. The invited speaker at the occasion was Mr. Usman Alvi, who has a BSc degree in Mechanics and Control Engineering from UET Lahore. Presently he is working as a lead engineer with Yokogawa, which is one of world’s leading industrial automation groups.

In his talk, Mr. Usman discussed about the requirements from the graduates and entry level personnel while they move and begin wearing seat-belts in journey towards their professional careers. He also told the attendees about the expectations of a Pakistani market to search a candidate at technical levels. Further, he mentioned the multidisciplinary approach in industrial automation and then revealed about industrial protocols apart from many other topics on automation.
