Participation of UMS Office in ICOSST 2017 – KICS UET Lahore

In continuation of Al-Khwarizmi Institute of Computer Sciences (KICS) Global Industrial Exhibition Organized in December, 2017 held at the U.E.T was attended by all the Faculty Members of U.E.T and it’s sub campuses along with Industrial Recourses which had more than 50 Stalls at the exhibition. The Theme of the exhibition was to have an International Conference on Open Source Systems and Technologies (ICOSST 2017)

UMS Office stall was also setup at the venue and the purpose was to orient the viewers on making the learning plan, especially on:

  • Framing the intended/envisioned UMS Office experiences
  • Exposure of academics operations incorporated with OBE Processes in ERP World
  • Exhibit the economical and open source ERP (Odoo) product, developed as per accreditation standards of PEC and Washington Accord coupled with HEC semester system, for the Pakistani Education Industry.
  • Provide the exposure to students and faculty to discuss the OBE Process in Automation world

Also, orienting Industrial Recourses to introduce and market the product and to create value in the minds of consumers. The exhibition also oriented the viewers on the new outcomes-based education instrument for accreditation.

Session 2015 and onwards in UET have been accredited on Outcome Based Education (OBE) system. Now, the graduates of UET stand shoulder to shoulder with the graduates of advance countries like USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, China, New Zealand, and others (Total of 19 including Pakistan), who are signatory of Washington Accord.

The distinguished speakers in closing ceremony were;

  • Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid (Vice Chancellor, UET, Lahore)
  • Dr. Waqar Mahmood (Director, KICS, UET, Lahore)
  • Zubair Iqbal Ghouri (CEO, Lahore Knowledge Park Company)
  • Adel Khelifi (Dean, American University in the Emirates)
  • Jibran Khalil (Vice President, i2c)
