HEC Awards Project to Centre for Language Engineering

A project titled “Automatic Meeting Minutes and Analytics Generation for Urdu” has been awarded to Dr. Farah Adeeba, Consultant at CLE by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). This project focuses on the development of an intelligent, ubiquitous meeting assistant to generate meeting minutes. It will also provide meeting-related insights to users including topics discussed in the meeting, who said what and when, meeting action items, and more. This product will allow users to use it as a meeting application to schedule and conduct meetings. This product will allow businesses and individuals to use a meeting assistant as a browser extension with existing web-based video conferencing applications like Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, and Slack to get meeting insights. In addition, the system would be beneficial for the government to get insights into the meeting without compromising data privacy. Moreover, the processing of enormous amounts of video data will accelerate the research and development of new Urdu-based AI systems. This project will be conducted in partnership with Virtual Force Pvt. Ltd.
