Director KICS Dr. Waqar Mahmood Retires – Farewell Ceremony Held to Honor His Services
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore hosted a dignified farewell ceremony today to honor the retirement of Dr. Waqar Mahmood, Director KICS of the university. The event was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Registrar Mr. Muhammad Asif, Public Relations Officer Dr. Tanveer Qasim, Deans of various faculties, and university faculty & staff. During the ceremony, the participants paid tribute to Dr. Waqar Mahmood for his dedicated service, unwavering honesty, and tireless efforts throughout his tenure.
They praised his significant contributions to the university and expressed best wishes for his future endeavors. Many also fondly recalled their cherished memories with him. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir stated, “Dr. Waqar’s contributions mark a bright chapter in UET’s progress. His professional conduct and commitment will continue to serve as an inspiration for future officers.” In his farewell address, Dr. Waqar reflected on his time at UET, shared memories, and extended his best wishes for the continued growth of the institution and the prosperity of the country. The ceremony concluded with the Vice Chancellor presenting a commemorative shield to him in recognition of his valuable services.
