Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar has extensive experience in the field of Teaching and Research. His research interests are in the fields of Operating Systems, Experimental Algorithms, and Programming Languages. He has done his B.Sc. (Engineering) in 1981 from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore; MS (Computer Engineering) from lowa State University, Ames, lowa,USA in 1985 and Ph.D. (Computer Engineering) from lowa State University. Ames, lowa, USA in 1988. After serving Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) for over 12 years and he took retirement in 2018. Previously, he had served the University of Portland as an assistant professor and associate professor for over a decade. He served at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) as a professor and head of the Computer Science Department and at Kuwait University. Professor Khalid has extensive experience of industry, teaching and research. His research interests are in the field of nanotechnology, automotive and engineering materials. His educational background is B.Sc (Engineering) 1980, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore; CEng (London); LL.B. 1985, Karachi University, Karachi; D.Phil. 1991, University of Oxford, UK. He has received an International Vanadium Award in 1994 for the best paper on materials technology published in the Journal of Mat. Sci. Tech. 9 (1993). He has been awarded a Gold Medal by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences for an outstanding research contribution in the field of Engineering and Technology in 2000 and Star Award by South Asia Publications in 2003. In recognition of his academic and research achievements he has also been elected as Fellow of The Institute of Materials (FIM), London. Dr. Maud is himself a complete database of all the processes of academics and student services. His experience and tremendous grip on different Processes like Management, Improvement, Design, Analyze and Problems Solving, Communicates and Persuades, Stakeholder Engagement and Team working gives strength in field of academics and student services, in public and public universities. He has served number of universities, including LUMS, UMT Lahore and UET Lahore in different managerial roles to supervise the cited processes. Now a days, he is convener Admissions Committee and incharge students section in UET Lahore. His ultimate goals in academics and student services is of continuous quality improvement in academics and its processes to provide ultimate benefit to the Student.
