Human Centered Robotics Lab

Introduction

Human-Centered Robotics Lab

The Human-Centered Robotics Lab aims to indigenously design and develop integrated robotic systems, based on smart sensing and actuation, to seamlessly interact with humans, actively learn from them and eventually create an effective collaborative environment. In this pursuit, currently, we are developing collaborative robots, upper-body exoskeletons, and lower-body active prostheses at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, and lower-limb orthoses/exoskeletons at the University of Central Punjab, Lahore.

Lab's Objectives

Human-robot interaction is at the core of our research which possesses a wide range of possibilities. The proposed human-centered robotics lab, however, will focus on the big problem of designing and developing effective sensor and actuator systems for such interactions. Ensuing the path that will lead towards the solution of the proposed big problem, the following subsidiary application domains have been identified:

1- Collaborative Robots

2- Exoskeleton

3- Active Prostheses
